Change leadership and new team development for a large scale structural change programme

The need
To maintain business excellence in an increasingly competitive market, this global organisation recently restructured its UK Sales, Product Marketing and Distribution operations. The main need was to maintain employee morale and to focus on the customer service values as the structural changes took place.

  • A programme of change leadership education for the project team tasked with the structural change activities.
  • Support through a behavioural change programme for the line managers responsible for maintaining the customer service levels and business as usual.
  • A team development programme for the key managers for the new structure.

The business improvements:
The change leaders managed the transition process with the minimum of disruption to the business.

The process of new team development was greatly accelerated and reached the performing stage very quickly.

Feedback from customers showed that, whilst sales revenue targets were achieved, this was not at the expense of customer service values or employee morale.
